Estate Administration
The Randall Law Firm can manage most issues of estate administration. The most common part of estate administration involves federal and state tax return preparation and planning, an area in which we have broad experience and knowledge. We provide these services on a fixed fee basis, not as a percentage of the gross estate.
If you are named as the personal representative to administer an estate, you have a multitude of responsibilities. If there is a will, the personal representative follows the directions of the decedent and administers the estate. In performing the required functions, the representative gathers information about the assets and debts of the estate; notifies the beneficiaries; pays all debts and expenses, including taxes; files the final personal tax returns and fiduciary returns; and distributes the remaining estate to the beneficiaries.
Many of the same functions are required if there is no will. In that case, the representative normally follows the requirements of the law and notifies the legal heirs. In either case, you want to feel totally confident about handing these responsibilities.
The Randall Law Firm welcomes the opportunity to help you with your estate administration issues in a manner that is most beneficial to you and your family.
